Gabrielle Jones, Ph.D., is the founder of Steady Clinical Training, Consultation and Development Services. She has over a decade of experience working with marginalized communities, specifically adolescents labeled “at-risk”, people involved in the juvenile justice system and their families, and people who have substance use concerns or have been diagnosed with a substance use disorder. Dr. Jones has worked in direct care hospital settings, community mental health settings, primary school settings, and university settings as a faculty member. She provides trainings to non-profit organizations related to substance use and cultural responsiveness in the context of mental health treatment, and consultation to individuals working with populations listed above. Dr. Jones also carries a small caseload in which she provides individual therapy. In addition to Dr. Jones’s consultations and trainings, she serves as the Membership Board Chair for the American Psychological Association, and as a board member for The Miles Hall Foundation; an organization committed to creating an alternative to calling the police during a mental health crisis.

Dr. Jones completed her graduate training and doctorate in Counseling Psychology at Oklahoma State University. While there, she worked for the State of Oklahoma’s Juvenile Affairs Department. She completed her advanced clinical training at Pacific Clinics, a community mental health agency, where she focused her work with the BIPOC community. Dr. Jones then completed additional training at Kaiser Permanente and developed her specialization in adolescent substance use. Dr. Jones developed adolescent multifamily substance use treatment programs for various Kaiser locations and served on the regional adolescent addiction medicine and recovery services committee while at Kaiser. She then transitioned to Rogers Behavioral Health, where she served as a Clinical Services Supervisor. While at Rogers, Dr. Jones co-wrote the treatment manuals for the Adolescent and Adult Mental Health and Recovery service lines, as well as the treatment manual for Smoking Cessation, for the Rogers system nationwide.

Dr. Jones started Steady after a series of experiences in large organizations in which she felt like more could be done to improve programs. She also recognized that there is a need to provide adequate training for culturally responsive care and substance use treatment. Steady Clinical Consultation, Training, and Development is intended to provide individuals and organizations with culturally responsive resources and skills that will allow them to serve these communities more effectively and comprehensively.
